I like the historical German-victory reverse. There is a pamphlet by Alfoldi, "The numbering of the victories of the emperor Gallienus and the loyalty of his legions" NC (1929) reprint Attic Books (1977) which discusses the Victories of Gallienus, the types, and which numbers might be which victories. There are lots of related coins and one could make it a collecting theme. GERMANICVS MAX V Trophy with two captives. 22-24 mm. RIC 18(J) page 70. Foss says it refers to the "crushing defeat of the Alemanni at Milan in 259.
Thanks JA. I will look into it further when I managed to get a decent string of time together. I tend to collect whatever I think looks cool. It is a good theme because every time I look through my coins I think 'Damn these are cool'. It wasn't by choice. It was mainly due to my own stupidity and mismanaging my money. I still think about coins every day and do a lot of window shopping. Once August 2017 and my student loans are paid off the coins will start picking up at a great speed. Well not at great speed, there will be some saving up for a ring for a very special lady. It is wonderful. The snow is very quickly disappearing and it is supposed to be ~16 tomorrow!
