I have two dimes that at some point had a hole drilled in them. One is a 1873 San Francisco the other is a 1849 New Orleans. I was wondering what if any value they would still have aside from the silver melt ? Thanks in advance...
At one time I'm thinking those coins had a string, chain or decorative silk running through the hole and it was worn as jewelry. The condition of the coins, add the hole in them, I'd say each one is worth $10-$20.
