I have a five gallon jug that I&#039;ve been throwing pennies in for probably two decades. I know for a fact I&#039;m not the only one who does this. The coins at the bottom of my jug only go back to the early 2000&#039;s. I know other folks that have jugs going back 30, 40, even 50 years, unsearched. These people sometimes exit this wonderful party having accumulated huge amounts of pennies only to have them deposited into banks to be rolled. And still unsearched. </p><p><br /></p><p>Could this epic find have come from someone&#039;s collection? Absolutely. However, being that it&#039;s only a penny, what I&#039;d consider the single most accumulated coin ever, it certainly could have been in a coin jar since before this variety was ever first discovered.
