    I just took a quick look at the user manual; is there not a button, on the top of the camera iirc, that shows the below symbol? There should, and is the flash button. Using this, and watching the display on your screen, should allow you to turn it off.

    We each have our own ways of learning, and if listening to others is what you prefer, that's great. Just be careful and understand that not everyone knows what they're talking about. Verify, verify, verify.... ;)

    I figured out to tell a coin collector from a coin investor.
    A coin collector will brag and want to show you his collection.
    A coin investor will brag and want to show you his profit.

    Thanks. That did turn off the flash but pictures were still bad. I am thinking it is the camera. I'll try to get my son to take some pics with his camera.

    This coin may be my favorite Hobo I own. When you look at it one way part of it is light and the other part is dark. Tilt it a little and the light/dark parts switch. Whoops the image is a work so I'll post it later.

    BTW does any one know of the carver of this coin or any other one I posted without a carver identified.
