Hi everyone! This is my first post as I just signed up today. I have two .999 silver rounds my wife acquired as being part of an expedition. It was the Hjemkomst expedition which took place in 1982 from Duluth to Oslo Norway. It was started by a man named Robert L. Asp. The coins as I said are .999 pure silver and weigh 1.4 ounces each. We have numbers 125 and 126 of 1000 and is stated on the outer edge of each piece. The front of the coins have a raised picture of Robert L. Asp and the bottom has a saying Daring to Dream. The back has a raised picture of the viking ship which is what the expedition is about. It also has the words Hjemkomst expedtion at the top above the ship and and the bottom has the words Duluth to Oslo 1982. The expedition re-created a viking ship and sailed it through the country from Duluth through the New York canal and on to Oslo where they were greated by the King of Norway. Now the ship rests in a museum in Norway I believe. Anyway are these worth a value besides the market value of 1.4ounces of silver. I know a picture is requested but I am helpless in this digital age. I will try to get my grandson to post a picture when he can but for now any info you can give me would be appreciated.
