Is there anyway to see the results of past Berk sales? I can see all the old catalogues on their website but no sale results. I'm looking for March 2009 sale 163 lot 2, a striated el hekte. Thanks
The catalogs have been scanned and can be found on the Newman Numismatic Portal. The catalog you want is at https://nnp.wustl.edu/library/auctionlots?AucCoId=510329&AuctionId=513132 I don't think the site has the prices realized. HJB used to send a letter half-way through saying what the current bids were. I don't recall getting a list at the end. If a coin doesn't sell it often shows up in a future catalog. If the coin does sell it may be hard to find out if it sold for the minimum or the BUY price without writing to the firm and asking them.
