The second bite was when I was (ON DUTY) helping a dogs owner place his dog in his vehicle after it had been hit by a vehicle and the owner was taking it to a vet, my fault again, my hand slipped from it&#039;s muzzle and it bit me while in pain.</p><p>To me the life of a dog is as important as the life of anything else and I have been lucky I have almost always been able to befriend dogs...and I love it.</p><p>To answer your question as to justification for killing dogs by Police, I could not find any justification of killing the dogs if no effort was made to try and stop their attacks short of killing them.
