I won't say what I think because that is exactly what you want. As to quoting others, the only one I quoted is a renowned author of several books on error and variety cents and I have no idea of who was, is, or will be in the future, old members of CoinTalk, which membership has zero relation to the topic at hand.

I can't wait.. please read Fred Weinberg's comment on this thread who is also a well known Mint Error expert. It's very informative. Also.. I probably know what you think about me but I don't really care. I bet the majority of readers of this thread will totally agree with my comments. Good luck with your presentation.

    I agree with Paddy's :
By all means, for most of us, Fred Weinberg is THE expert, whereas the other authors who classify them as they are usually also Sellers of such coins and have a secondary reason for saying they are special and important. There are "suckers" and there are people who sell "suckers"....but everyone has an opinion, so this is mine. Coins are made by mechanical processes so all variations have to have a mechanical cause, not by wishing, hoping, magical, or heaven sent. But if a person collects them, good luck.

You are absolutely correct, as long as the earth is still flat. For those who realize the earth is now round, and have an open mind about it, they may then learn that everything eventually cycles and new info is then revealed to them. When the first DDO's, DDR's, RPM's, OMM's, IMM's, etc., each surfaced, there was immediately a new category created to accommodate each of them and that could again happen with both "Hidden" and "Blatant" Images on coins, given that these can and have obviously happened prior to the release of such coins to the public. Since I and others who may be reading all this are still learning, you need to explain that TPG stands for "Third Party Grading" Service.

I too have specialized in Error/Variety coins for many decades, but the problem we then have to guard against is that specialists in general learn more and more about less and less until they finally know everything about nothing, leaving them with a closed mind. It is like the person who graduates from college and then thinks they know it all without realizing that education is a life-long process. To me that is much worse than pareidolia, a condition I might add that would of necessity have to be diagnosed by a psychiatrist (specialist) or such. To use this label randomly towards others without having the credentials to make such an assessment, is nothing more than a libelous and defamatory mud-slinging tactic often used by bullies who then think the rest of the world will somehow see them as superior to others.

I quoted John Wexler who is a renowned author of several books on error and variety cents/coins, and have no idea whether or not he is a past, present, or future member of CoinTalk community. At any rate, that is irrelevant and I did not infer that he was such so don't waste your time grabbing at straws. The earth was flat until people realized it was not.

    Now that's plain STUPID.

The Earth has ALWAYS been round. People might not have realized this prior to 2000 BCE, but ...

There are no hidden images on coins. If there were, those hidden images would interfere with the video camera that’s embedded on all coins.

    Actually Copernicus provided the evidence:

    Heliocentrism - Wikipedia
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heliocentrism
It was not until the sixteenth century that a mathematical model of a heliocentric system was presented by the Renaissance mathematician, astronomer, and Catholic cleric, Nicolaus Copernicus, leading to the Copernican Revolution.

Prior to this work published in 1543, most people believed the world/earth was flat so your timing is off by over 3500 years. Some still do believe it is flat and are called "flat-earthers".

"but the problem we then have to guard against is that specialists in general learn more and more about less and less until they finally know everything about nothing, leaving them with a closed mind."

Mendel ( a monk in the 1800s) through experimentation with pea plants laid the foundations for our current world of pest resistant plants and more. Since he had learned those should he stop as " he might learn less and less and know nothing? His studies led to animals ( that many of us eat, and milk , and ride ) being more resistant to the environmental factors and larger an stronger for work rather than the wild ones? Mendel showed that animals, including humans had characteristics called genes in plants and animals , so eventually in the early 1900s, Vaccines started being developed by scientists understanding by then that we are not very different from each other. We could exchange Blood without killing anyone as in past centuries. At first A,B, O...then variations +.-. and then even sub-variations, Mankind kept learning. New medications were made synthetically. Then here came
a new virus that we had no answer for, but Genetic workers as almost a last shot made the needed genetic factors by synthetic gene manufacture. Millions had died, but it would still be going on unchecked , if they were "specialists in general learn more and more about less and less until they finally know everything about nothing, leaving them with a closed mind." Things do not work like that. Jim

Maybe they guarded against it and kept an open mind? Many of us specialize to some degree but that does not mean we should shut ourselves off to new ideas and try to shun those who offer them prior to even knowing what it is that they wish to offer, does it? Thanks

@rushcoin1 while we wait for the pics, how in the minting process did these images come to be on the coins? Are you saying the mint makes dies for single use on a high speed press, does a single coin with invisible images, then changes the dies out for another single use die with a different invisible image? That would seem to severely limit the number of coins that could be minted. How would they be able to mint the billions of coins done in modern years?
