But have taken an interest in lots of coins I'm reading about on here. I am kicking myself for the years of not paying attention to them! In my first week I found a 41 wheat penny in the freebie tray at a gas station, my bank had five bucks worth of half dollars, all bicentennials, no s's. all D's. A 71 and a 74 i believe. d's as well. Local grocery store manager said she doesn't get many halves, but found a silver one, so I am giving up on that location. We have about 4 banks in our town. I know and am great friends with the head teller at my bank, I am going to speak with her tommorow about buying halves. I can't really afford a box at a time, but may buy one when income tax hits. Do I have a better chance of finding silver in my rural area, or a worse chance. ?? Also, you roll searchers that have been doing this. Am i wasting time on dimes and nickels for silver content or are my odds better than with the halves as far as time to value of finds. Thanks in advance for any help!
