Hey guys, need help with this one.. presumably roman

    Another ancient.. presumably Roman it’s larger than I’m used to, about the size of a quarter, the back is pretty indistinguishable but I can make out a face on the front he seems to have head ware and a pointy nose, any help is appreciated thanks - Jake

    Looks like the pointy nose is a result of damage :yack:

    Probably Roman As of Hadrian.

    Worth 50 cents to $1 in that condition.

    I vote for Nerva but it's pretty hard to tell.

    It does look somewhat like Nerva.

    I'm not sure who it is, but it seems, from what appears to be some surviving silvering (mainly obverse) that it is a silvered antoninianus or aurelianianus.
    As has been pointed out in another post, its retail potential is little-to-none, almost no matter who or what it began as - when they get that deeply corroded and pitted (unless they are obviously some astonishing rarity - and my working definition of "rare" is "you don't have one") virtually no one is interested in owning them.
