tmoney - you're a young buck, full of energy and ready to plop down your cash to close the deal. Having that desire is great, but I really hope you take your time and be cautious. Caution will eliminate some of the inevitable mistakes of youth (and for us old guys who think they know something). I like to acknowledge my limitations and prefer not to jump in if I don't really know what I'm doing. I bought this from Heritage with a live floor bid after seeing it in hand before the auction. Now, you may not like the heavy toning of this coin, but I want to underscore how, in this case, the pics did not match the coin in hand.

Here's what folks saw on the internet:

And here is what I saw in hand (pretty close):

Now, regardless of whether you still think the coin is ugly, there is no doubt that Heritage's pics were not accurate. I'm afraid that you may find the reverse with BIN transactions.......that is the coin isn't as nice as in the pictures.

So, what's the point? Trusting a picture may lead to big disappointment. You are always better off seeing the coin in hand before spending your money. My advice is to save your money and go to a few shows, walk the bourse, go to the lot viewing sessions prior to the auctions and do this before you lay down your hard earned cash. Minimally, if you must buy on-line, be sure you understand and have a return privledge. Be sure you know the cost of a return and be sure your willing to pay the freight if you're unhappy.
