I would caution placing too much faith on these Chinese online appraisers. Having collected Chinese coins and mixing with them, I can tell you many have conflicting opinions... and most go by gut feel and pictures to make their assessment. And many carry their own ego to it..
You right , but if those appraisers was right I will lost a lot money ,that thy I have to send to certify.
Just got email from Heritage auctions today saying the coins was fake ! Hello Mr Wu, We received word from Hua Xia this morning that they do not believe the coins to be genuine. We are processing the invoice as a return now and will be refunding your entire purchase price for the coins. We apologize for the delay in having them certified as well as for having been mistaken in our opinion of their authenticity. Please let me know if you have any questions. Makes me worried about some of the raw Chinese/Japanese I have purchased in the past. Thanks for this thread!!
Ye here a lot Chinese coins are fake , luckily I know the Chinese coin forums I can posted , and all those collector points out it fake , or I will lost over 20 k dollars on those two coins .
Thanks goodness you are getting a return... Too bad they are fake. Been wondering how this was working out. John
Heritage doesn't want to sell fakes and I can imagine they are going to be scrutinizing their processes on those two items! Knew they would do an investigation and make good on an error.
Pickin and Grinin, posted: "I think they owe, you something for your time!" You rock! That's a good one.
