You must have missed school the day this was discussed in 6th Grade English Grammar class. NP Coin explained what you missed very eloquently.

Think about it - is the Kentucky Derby a "horses race"? Is the Indy 500 a "cars race"? Do you toss coins into a "wishings well" or a "coins fountain"? Do you park in a "cars lot"? Do you eat at a "hamburgers stand"? Do you shop at a "groceries store"? Have you ever purchased a "magazines subscription" or a "newspapers subscription"? Have you ever heard of a "chickens farm"?

Actually, and in all seriousness, I've always been confused by "shrimp". When I was growing up, I would eat 8 shrimp for dinner.

When my family let me start leaving the house, I discovered that other people would eat 8 shrimps for dinner.

 

That gave all you threads posters something to think about eh???
