The technical term for these are "repousse"

Most often seen on barber coinage. (have a bag of them)

I think Coin World had an small article on push-out coins not too long ago. It was pretty interesting. Like someone else had said, the process was used on a lot of Barber coinage.

 

Yeah, that's what I was reminded of. It is different, and as a posted earlier, I didn't know that this was an actual product, just some thing someone did.

 

Now thats what I call ultra high relief!! I think it would be kind of cool to have one.:thumb:
