If it's authentic, we can say we knew you before you were rich and famous. I personally would love to see an average guy hit it big. What a message that would send to the collector community. :smile Good luck!
I hope this pans out for you buddy , I will be subscribing to this If this turns out to be fake , it's a scary one because out of the 20 or so fake morgans I own , none are quite as ''real'' as this one.
I love these threads! I am not a morgan expert, but that sure looks real to me! I'm hoping for an early Christmas for you!!
If it's genuine, it may actually be worth LESS because of the railroad rim. It would be a classic case of a a white elephant. Collectors of rgular coins have lowered interest because of the error, and error collecors hav no interest in it because they would be just as satified to have a nice RR rim on a common date coin where they don't have to pay a huge premium. The result is a lowered demand and price.
I'll still put my money on someone paying a top price for this coin. After grading I would contact one of the major auction houses and let them handle it. This could be an investor/collector coin, not necessarily just a Morgan or error dollar collector's coin.
It looks really good if it is a fake, I hope you are going to submit it so that we can see what comes of this coin!!!
When it cones back in it's bodybag, I'll give you &15 for it. Going to have send this sucker to the smelter.
If I was you I'd be hatin too. I'll have some crow cooked up for you at the first annual 93s tilted collar party.
Lol it's an altered Morgan there's more altered and fake 93S then their original mintage. Same with the 1916-D merc plus some CD earlier this year dumped close to 2500 altered 93S. It's worth melt no more and no less
You hope. Jealousy is wanting what someone else has. Envy is not wanting them to have it either. Besides an honest dealer would never offer a measly $15 for a 90% silver dollar fake or not
