Here is a challenge for someone 1 of 2

    Hello everyone, been going through some of my father in law's coins he had these pouches with so many different coins and I have been able to identify some. I really would like to identify them all and put them in a coin book, but there are some that I would not have a clue where to begin to search for some of these coins, not in very good shape but...I hope that by looking at these coins someone might be able to identify what these coins are, again their not in very good shape I know but thought maybe someone with a good eye might recognize the coin.

    It’s a Queen Victoria penny, but newer than the one above. The obverse bust changed, but I’m not sure when.

    Yes but I think closer to this:
    1861 Penny 1.jpg 1861 Penny 2.jpg
    There are numerous variations in these - they run from 1860 to 1893. The shape of the head on the OP's coin looks to be earlier in the run and if forced to guess I would say is dated 1861 - and a Penny of course.
