I bought this coin some months ago for $6 unattributed. It is an AE18, and I quickly realized it was a typical Ptolemaic bronze with Zeus on obverse and an eagle on reverse: I've since tried to narrow down the attribution. I found the http://ptolemybronze.com/ptolemy_series.html website helpful, and my best match there is for Ptolemy II post-reform Alexandria, series 3, Sv. 417. This is largely based on the fact that I can't find any extra letters or other marks on the reverse fields or between the eagle's legs, which seems to be where all the distinguishing features are. Does anyone who collects the series have any opinion on IDing this piece? I realize it may not be possible to narrow it down to a specific Ptolemy, but I figure it's probably worth trying. Thanks in advance for any help.
