Help with mint mark on Magnentius coin

    I cant seem to figure out the mint mark on this Magnentius.
    Can anyone help me out ?

    That's weird, indeed. I've been thinking about this and I wonder if the letter in the center of the exergue is an R with a filled die. There is a star at the top, just to the right, and the emperor has no shield and the barbarian is bare-headed. This would match issues by the Rome mint (RIC viii, p. 267, 209), but the second letter doesn't match any of the officinae: P B T Q E or S.

    I'm curious what others think.

    There seems to be only 2 letters although these are pushed over to the right but I can't make out if there are any symbols to the left? ...A two letter mint could be Rome?

    Oops RC beat me to it......Would like to see a pic of the ob..

    My guess is that there are three letters in the mint mark and that the first one is missing.
