Wish I could be of more help
The item does not have a date and it appears to be a token not a coin.
Any significance or common?
It's actually from Hyderabad, India. See here, you can figure out the denomination based on size https://en.numista.com/catalogue/hyderabad_princely_state-1.html
3.9 g 20.6 mm 2 Pai 1904-1911. Thank you for your expertise.
From my reading, the Ottoman Empire didn't extend into India, but several of the Indian dynasties had Turkish influence; the obverse has similarities to the Ottoman coins. Just a guess.
It's upside down, but looks like year 44 (1911).
Thanks for all your help with this coin, I appreciate all the time invested.
