I posted in the World Coins about some kind of variation of a medieval florin but have not had any replies. Perhaps some regular readers of the ancient coins might be able to help. Here are the images of the coin. It should weigh about 3.5 grams but is coming in at 5 grams and appears milled, not hammered, the gold seems more like a 14 carat rather than 24 carat gold, and may have a seam in the edge. Is this a jeweler's fantasy piece or a well known cast copy, a an earlier Indian copy (for wedding jewelry, an older imitation or a 'God only knows' coin? Any thoughts? Thanks. I don't like the aspect of your coin : too round, letters look modern, the edge is waaaay off, even the metal doesn't look gold

Can't give any reference right now though

Yes, it is a base metal replica. I took it to both a dealer and a jeweler who tested it. There is no gold content at all. Thanks for the help.
