Help with 1944 wheat cent

    Got it in 1968 right after I build my first steel skate skateboard. I rode that board to get cigarettes from the drugstore for my mom. She always let me keep the change! Different times!
    True store except the part about the coin. Lol.

    Wow that's a heck of a pocket change find! Very nice Cent.

    Ah, those were the days, huh? People were gray and the world was mostly yellow. Maybe that gouge in the cent came from a piece of hot steel flying off from one of those hammer blows.

    I actually used my favorite tool, my scale, caliper, hammer, rock. AKA the original multi tool for kids.
    Here is one of my favs. This one came from the gut of a Hadrosaur. It’s a Gizzard stone!
