Your post made me remember a PCGS MS-65 San Diego half that came to me through the FPO while I was serving aboard the USS Harry S Truman. I though that I would have had to wait until I was back in port but it arrived while we were underway. As for the Seated Dollar, I would not be surprised to see a similar coin in a PCGS holder even if dipped. I have a Trade Dollar graded problem free VF-25 by PCGS that is definitely dipped and have seen other circulated dipped coins with straight grades. From what I have read on this forum, the TPG's have been a lot more willing to let this type of thing slide for the earlier, more difficult series. This would make a lot of purists cringe but personally I don't see why light dipping and other cleaning is so bad. If the TPG's decide that it is market acceptable then I'll go along with the crowd. I just can't stand coins with damage even if PCGS says its okay. Your coin looks great in that regard.[/QUOTE]
