I can only speculate as to why he didn't answer; perhaps he didn't have a scale or felt it unnecessary since he pulled the listing before ebay could do it for him. If you or anyone else prefers not to deal with him, that's your call and I am not saying that you should. Just to be clear, I am only playing the devil's advocate here...

Perhaps I am wrong in believing that people should be given the benefit of the doubt until or unless they prove themselves unworthy. There are plenty of sellers who knowingly fluff their offerings with the full intent of making them appear to be something they are not, and for the sole reason of achieving a higher price, but such people are seemingly not held to the same standard as some wish to hold this gentleman to. Of course, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, but if one wishes to pass judgment, which is worse: the seller who may have tried to pull a fast one, or the seller who, while their offerings may be genuine, does this repeatedly? It's both an honest and valid question.
