IMG_1498.jpg IMG_1501.jpg I found 4 peace dollars in my father’s coin collection. Two 1922, one 1934 with no mint mark, and another 1934 with what looks like an S. I’d love to know if this last coin qualifies as a 1934-S, and what value it has, if any given it’s condition. It’s in the worst condition by far of the bunch. IMG_1498.jpg IMG_1501.jpg

Looks like a 1934S to me. Probably grades in the Fine range. Yes, a little better date, but not exactly problem free. I hesitate to throw out a value, but someone might pay 30 bucks for it. JMO.

Darn, I was hoping it would be worth more. Thanks for the insight!

The 34-S is a pretty expensive coin in finer grades, but it is a condition rarity and is fairly common in lower grades.

Yep, that's a 1934-S. It's actually the rarest of all Peace dollars in high AU or most uncirculated grades, but... well, I see @Kirkuleez has scooped me.

Of course, if they were easy to find in great condition, they wouldn't be worth extra!
