I have this Greek coin that has an attribution that I am uncertain about. It is . . . THRACE, Koinoi (Kainon?) Mostis. AE13 mm., 2.4 gm. Obv: Bearded male head (Zeus?) right, uncertain object to left, Rev: 'BM' ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΟΣΤΙΔΟΣ Bow and Quiver G&M (Gorny & Mosch?) 225/1313 I am 'uncertain' because the depiction of Zeus is different, and I believe that I can also see a trident on the reverse. Nothing about my coin resembles this listing for "Gorny & Mosch 225/1313", that I found on Acsearch. Can anyone help, please?
From your images, I cannot be certain that is a trident on the reverse. The closest I can come to your coin is Paunov 4: Mostis, King of Thrace, AE17, ca 126-86 BC. 2.94 g. Laureate head of Zeus or Herakles right / BAΣIΛEΩΣ MOΣTIΔOΣ, bow in bow case. Paunov 4; Moushmov (Rois Thraces) 172; Jurukova 142; Berlin 18214369.
@Bing Thank-you, Bing, for finding those for me. I will check your references out. It seems to me that these coins have large 'variations' with similar 'references'.
