Matty, suggest you lurk around on this forum and you might learn something. Otherwise we are just going to have a lot of fun reading your posts
Wow wished o had one of those coins all I collect is regular money like Penny's nickles dimes and quarters wheat Penny's and half dollars and gold dollar coins and I want to get a Morgan silver dollar
You want a Morgan? I'll send you one I have many of them although I recently sold most to free up money for buying ancients, which everyone on this board finds infinitely more interesting. My Morgans are circulated though
Or even US coins for that matter. This Birch Cent is graded AU58 (circulated) and will probably sell for $2M: http://www.stacksbowers.com/BrowseAuctions/LotDetail/tabid/227/AuctionID/6065/Lot/2577/Default.aspx Being circulated does not even remotely make a coin valueless.
Thanks to everyone. I bought it from a dealer's foreign coin box. He didn't know what it was and I didn't either. Paid $10 so I think I did okay. (Help! The Ancients are sucking me back in! Help!!!)
True, true. And Hadrian was one of the 5 "good emperors", so he was actually on my list of coins to get at some point anyway. I've heard of "Hadrian's Wall", so this made me do some research into this man's life. That is the true value of this coin I guess ;-)
Matty, don't ever post personal identifying information on a public forum, it is a safety issue! As for the dollar, keep it . I'll send you a Morgan and an ancient coin.
