    Hi,

I recently picked up 2 Mexican coins, and I would appreciate some help grading them.

The first one is a 1921 2 peso coin. I bought it as an AU, and that looks accurate to me, but where would you say it falls?

The second one is an 1867 Maximilian peso, which didn't have a grade when I bought it. To me it looks like an XF 40-45, what does it look like to you guys?

I would say the 1921 2 Pesos is AU50-55. The 1867 Peso would be VF25-30.

Close to agreeing here. I would probably go a bit higher on the 1867, especially if there is a little luster lurking there, which I think I see. But probably dipped at some point, at least the obverse looks like it IMHO. Still nice coins. I really like world crowns with portraits on them, very neat piece of history.
