from your reply, it sounds like you have worked the 1c, 5c, and 10c pretty well. The 2c is fun but all will be purchased, either from a coin store, here on CT, show, auction or something like that. note: I do like hunting the coin shows, but be VERY cautions of Ebay. It is a nice looking coin, only 10 years in the series, with 8 of them in reach of your budget.

Maybe time to gives quarters a run? Say what you want about state series and the value, its still a fun one. (at least I think so, (even if Wyoming really ugly) I got mine all from circulation and there are only 5 that are not UNC (P are hard to get for us west coast folks) Of course as you go back to 1964 and earlier, its all silver. That means the cost per coin goes up and rare to find one in circulation. But I like it because you can do both, circulation hunt and pick up a few nice ones through purchase. and you may want to show them to your grand-kids in about 50 years. I rather like including the US Territories too.

My personal current project is a type set of all coins you can still find in circulation, That includes wheats, bufs, merc's, halves, Ikes, small dollars, and silver because they may be rare in circulation but are still there. Only one example of state quarter series for this set, my home state. One each of the MOST common year/mint mark, in very high grade. Actually doing 2 of these, one for each of the kids to inherit.

Another type set that is interesting is one from each mint. That one starts getting pricey when you include the ones that are not around anymore, CC, O, plus the VERY obscure. I included 2 from Philadelphia, one pre P mark and one after they started using the P mark.
