    Hi,

Would anyone happen to help me identify what mint the following Ottoman Sultani is from? Think I have it pegged down to either Aleppo or Damascus but am a bit unsure.
Any help would be much appreciated :)

You are welcome! I still need any Sultani from Selim II:(
History would have been different had Sulieman's first born son became Sultan.

I don't know who Friedberg is, so would not want to challenge his authority. But the Arab text just above the date in the second photo reads "zarb fi Halab", so Aleppo, not Damascus.

Friedberg is the author of a famous text thats gets updated periodically like Krause that focuses exclusively on world gold. Its in a sense the standard reference for world gold collectors.

But many thanks for your help. Its a true shortcoming that my Arabic skills are non existent with the exception of salama leko
