Looks to me like the date is 1593 or 1599. Either way, it's Henry IV, and I agree with it being a douzain. Here's one of mine: French Royal Henry IV, r. 1589-1610 (1594) AR Douzain, 23.71 mm x 1.6 grams Obv.: FRAN.ET.NA.REX.B.HENRICVS.IIII.DG. Crowned 3 fleur-de-lis coat of arms, H on either side Rev.: + SIT NOMEN DNI BENEDIC 1594. Cross ancree, fleur de lis in 1st and 4th quarters, crown in 2nd and 3rd quarters Ref.: Roberts 3232 variety Do you have the size of the coin? I think there are similar designs on different denominations (but I don't have my reference book handy at the moment - this is just from memory)
