My son is super excited about this new acquisition. I've kind of been able to narrow it down a bit but would love input of the Forum. Thanks. IMG_20180121_110330.jpg IMG_20180121_110410.jpg

It’s likely Greece after the Crusaders conquered the Byzantines in the fourth crusade. If I have time to pull out my book I’ll see if I can be more specific.

I tried searching "Cross" under Crusader States on Numista and turned up a few that look close here: Numista

This one won’t be fully identified by the look of it, you’ll need to be able to make out the inscrition. The design is a very common Frence design (the denier tournois) which was then immitated by many of the Franks who set up their small potentates in Greece.

Sorry I’m terrible about checking my books - my job has just been insufferable at the mment, amd I’m often working late into the evening. If you think you can work out the inscription, i might he able to track this down more specifically.
