I would like to know the value of these coins and/or if they're fake.

One looks like 1600's Spainish 8 reales coin. The other from the 1700's.

I'm pretty good with US coins, but not foreign

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Both look like modern cast "tourist" copies, the kind you can buy at gift shops in beach towns for a couple of dollars.

I felt that they probably were fake, unfortunately.

The one thing that I couldn't understand, was why a Spanish coin had what looked like a greek theta instead of what I believe is normally an O.

Someone was trying to sell them to me. I thought something was off about them. However, I figured I would ask people who knew more about them.

    Glad I didn't buy them.
