Help - can't determine year

    Ouch - only 93% of melt value left o_O - looks to have been whacked with a circular letter punch - I see a fancy 'W' in the center

    Production of Barber half dollars began in 1892.

    That's why everyone is certain yours must be 1893.

    I believe there's only one option. The right side of that third digit is round and goes all along the side. So, it's either a 0 or a 9. It can't be a 0 because that series didn't exist back in 1803. So it's from 1893 - a nice year to have.
