I got 22 uncleaned coins, all bronze except this one. It was really encrusted, so it took a while to get to the metal. It seemed to have a gold plate and under is a silver metal, billon perhaps. Please help tell me what this coin is called, person on both sides, date etc. Thanks! image.jpg

What is the weight? Could be this, the reverse is too blurry.

interesting photo of a coin and someone’s foot. I hope this doesn’t become a trend. LOL.

I gotta say i’m getting into ancient coins now. Ive been collecting mainly 20th century world for 7-8 yrs, but just started on ancients. Reading Sayles’ Ancient Coin Collecting book, vol 1. Are any familiar with his work? I plan on reading several volumes
