Helmet without a head

    Not many helmets without a head got posted. I got a Republican example last year:

    Mn. Cordius Rufus. 46 BC. Denarius. 19-18 mm. 3.62 grams.
    Owl perched on Corinthian helmet right, RVFVS behind
    aegis with Medusa head at center (too worn to see details, and the reverse photo is upside down) and
    CORDIVS MN around counterclockwise from 2:00 in the photo (MN ligature at 3:00)
    Crawford 463/2. Sear 441.

    Ia this thread done? No one can add another type of helmet without a head?

    Rev.: Crested helmet left, with cheek guards.
