Welcome to CT! You'll find a wealth of knowledge from a lot of really friendly people Nice tet! Do you know how much it weighs out whom it was minted under?

Very nice Tet, @Mammothtooth ! Also, welcome to the Ancients Forum of CT. Here is my Lifetime AIII Tet: Makedon Alexander III Lifetime Tet Myriandrus mint-Alexandria near Issus And, another of his Lifetime Tet at the location of his Death: Makedon Alexander III - Alexandrine Babylon Di-Shekel / Tet 24mm 16.35g LIFETIME 328-311 Baal - Lion And, since you have a cool Avatar Name, these were carved from Mammoth Tusk: These are figurines carved from Russian Mammoth Tusks imported into and carved in China into Chinese Zodiac Figurines: I am Year of the Boar, my Wife is Year of the Rabbit... At the time, it was perfectly legal to own and transport Mammoth Tusk, as it was NOT an endangered species, rather it was Extinct. However, I understand NOW you cannot purchase nor transport them into the US. These are grandfathered. I purchased these on one of my business trips to China. Estimated age of Mammoth Tusks: 55,000-60,000 BCE.
Nice tetradrachm! It's well centered, generally and with nice die work on the reverse. I would grade it a good VF.
Thank you very much! Appreciate your information. How do you find a value for these . I am still learning...
Nice tetradrachm @Mammothtooth. Here are some fossilized teeth, with and ancient coin of Gaul, Massalia, circa 125-90 BC, AR Drachm, bust of Artemis / Lion
Like your coin, this coin that I purchased, and awaiting delivery (a long-term prospect currently), also came from Sardes, a bit later than your coin I would say. I was able to match it with another coin sold by CNG some time ago. So, here is the description and photo of my coin, which I would call VF-ish. KINGS of MACEDON. Antigonos I Monophthalmos. As Strategos of Asia, 320-306/5 BC. AR Tetradrachm. (16.8 grams). In the name and types of Alexander III. Sardes mint. Struck circa 318-315 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; Γ in left field, A below throne. Price 2646; ADM I Series XVII.
