    The small date is pretty petite. Yours is a large date.

    Pick up a copy of the most recent Yeoman Red Book and you'll see there are 7 varieties listed for 1982 Lincoln Memorial Cents (LMC), not including proofs. An 8th variety exists but is not listed because, as I understand, only 1 1982-D small date copper, has surfaced to date. This coin is not considered an error but a variety (although leaving a single copper planchet in a feed bin seems to indicate an error on the part of a mint employee).
