Rick&#039;s note represents a major upgrade to the first large size note I ever acquired, which is pictured here, a seriously worn note given to me by my grandparents many years ago. Rick&#039;s note is my first graded large size note in my collection. I once shared my worn note in an <a href="http://www.cointalk.com/t67656/" class="internalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.cointalk.com/t67656/">old thread</a> when I was first getting to know Rick and learning about/thinking about collecting paper. This upgrade encompasses a very key mantra in acquiring notes that I learned from Rick, to wait for and to carefully acquire notes of the best quality you can obtain and afford. I add to that, to try to collect notes that have personal meaning/connection. These two notes have it all! </p><p><br /></p><p>While RickieB was active on CT, he always gave his all and shared all his collection with us fortunate to have seen it while the images were hosted here on CT. The amount I learned from Rick cannot be expressed in one simple post.
