Partially. July 1, 2010 my life was changed... The "R.D. Bradley Collection" Heritage Auction (F.U.N Show)
I think it's awesome too that you have a piece of his collection, krispy. RickieB is someone who is loved by people in this hobby. He is a great guy and a good friend to all who know him. BTW, I don't really collect currency, but I do have a small collection. That exact series $2 is the only large sized note I own. So, it is also my first. It's funny how so many collector's paths run parallel. I am also a sap for family stories. I like your sentimentality.
If Rick wants to share the whys and hows he may decide to in the future. In the interim those of us in the knows will keep our beaks shut.
When I clicked on "July 1, 2010 my life was changed..." it says that I do not have permission to access that thread. I've never run across this before.....what's the deal?
Bob, that thread is in the General Discussion section of CT. You just need to opt-in to view threads in that section. Go to the FORUM tab all the way at the top of the page, scroll down to General Discussion and look for the "opt-in" link.
At the top of the Page, select FORUM: Scroll down the FORUM page to the General Discussion line: There should be an "opt-in" link to the right of the line that says General Discussion. You can also go to your 'Settings' once opted in and manage your "permissions groups" along the left column of account management tools, should you later want to opt-out.
That is totally weird. On mine, there is no line for General Discussion. I have the next three groups there (Politics..., World..., and Support...) but not general discussion. HUH????
Thanks Krispy, I communicate with him outside of the forum and didn't know he shared anything here. I gave a loving home to his Brunswick and Albany note from the FUN auction.
Bob: Try to go through the "Settings" link at the top of the page. Then scroll down, look for 'Permission Groups' on the left column: Then see if you have an options panel like this:
Yeah! I recall seeing the note you acquired. An excellent piece piece indeed. I posted one in that thread too after your note and again in this thread (post#26) that I also won in the FUN Heritage Auction from Rick's collection. An amazing collection he cracked up. I'm honored to own but one piece.
Krispy....thanks. A whole new area of CT. Anyway, I read the thread and now understand the issues RickieB was facing. I miss his posts. I hope he rejoins us some day. bob
Well said DITTO This post originated after Rickie asked me to make it, since then things have changed. End of it.
