I called a bank recently and arranged to pick up a few boxes of coins and as I unrolled a roll of Pennies I came across a 2015 Lincoln Penny with the shield missing on the reverse side of it. What would be the value for this error? How does this type of error happen?
Thank you for your time everyone:)

    Welcome to CT

It was intentionally removed by someone with a grinder, sandpaper, or rubbing it against a surface. Not an error. It's value is one cent.

Yeah, I find stuff like that all the time, it all goes in the zinc bag. But don't give up, because that's what's fun about CRH, you never know what you'll find next. So welcome to CT and keep posting what you find.

It looks like your penny spent a little too much time being tumbled around in the dryer.

Unfortunately it is DEFDAM - Definitely Damaged :yack:

Don't assume that something that looks weird or different that it is a Mint Error. Value would be 1 Cent.
