I've been getting increasingly annoyed with NGC. You don't bring your car to the shop, ask for a tire rotation, and have them call you later to pick up the car, charge you for the tire rotation, only to then find out they didn't do anything because they decided it didn't need it. Yet somehow NGC decides it's okay to change the service that's been authorized by the customer and do something else without informing them, and they do this routinely.
Yeah NGC likes money. The funny thing, I sent an 1849NB 6 Krajczar in for Mint Service - it had a minor mint error and they declined it, saying it wasn't significant enough to slab as a mint error. They took my money for it all the same. I showed them half a dozen examples where they were perfectly happy to slab coins as errors that weren't even errors or that had errors so minor you couldn't see them from slab photos. I also assured them that as an expert in the Hungarian war issue coinage of 1848-1849 that even a very minor error (with the exception of minor lamination issues on the large coppers) was definitely significant enough to slab. Sorry to derail this discussion a bit. And then when you add instructions on submissions they almost always ignore them - I've even seen them ignore instructions written by NGC staff on the forms.
