No, they're not errors. It's called embossing, and it's a good thing, but a normal part of the process.

 

The convex serial numbers were about 1/2mm above the plain note.

 

Wish you had a photo or scan.

Is yours similar to the embossing on this note ?

 

Yes. So it is worthless.

 

Maybe not worthless, but not worth anything over face value.
