Hawaiian coins

    I spent $850 on these, and I think I did okay, even with the condition issues, but I'm wondering how this black crud got everywhere, and if it should be sent for conservation? Oh, I also got the dollar coin, but until I get my camera charger, I can't get a pic of it.

    Black crud is the final stage of toning. I guess its residue from removal of tarnish.

    I know you PM'ed me that it wasn't cleaned, but I'm assuming the PM preceded the post above. Do you think the crud coin was cleaned?
