    I voted for the "Diamond head" type, I just like the appearence.....

    To Aidan Work, Why would the USS Arizona be too gruesome. It is a national cemetary or burial site I think, not unlike Arlington Cemetary. If a coin was offered with that ship on it I would have certainly voted for it but I did not see it offered. Is this variety in the running? If not maybe someone should suggest it to the people in charge. The ship is still in commission by the US Navy and maybe that is the reason they did not include it.

    Alwayslost,when you think of a shipwreck,you think of who may have died on board there.That is why I think it would be too gruesome to depict on a coin.

    I can understand if there was a design of the USS Arizona derived from a pre-World War II photo,but depicting the wreck of it,it goes beyond the bar.

    The King Kamehameha I statue is a more neutral design,as it would help build a bridge between Americans & native Hawaiians.Even putting an inscription from the Hawaiian language on an American coin would go a long way to promoting reconciliation.
