    This is my only large cent I bought at an auction in Lawton, OK in 1978. I won the bid at $3.50. 1846 and to this day my oldest coin:

    Giving credit where credit is due... Hey man, nice shot!!!
    That's three .22 caliber rounds in a very small target. I'll go out on a limb and say whoever did it wasn't standing close neither... They would have shot it through the middle if so. You can tell by the volcano like expanded metal at the exit site, they were all hammered back down. My girls and I have done that a few times with quarters at 100 yards... not so easy to do!

    This coin is one of the highlights of my collection. Not an easy date to find with attractive problem free surfaces.
