If you spin a story about doing something really stupid in your very first post ever on a site, there's some risk that forum readers, who've never heard of you and know nothing about you, will assume you actually did that stupid thing. Fact!
Hopefully that's the end of that!! This thread was about a mistake I made - everyone makes mistakes and I am not surprised others have had a similar situation happen - most bid for much more $$, and more frequently than I do. I did not bid on my phone.. I was not drinking during bidding (but I sure was after..lol). Stuff happens and when I calmed down after, I thought that ..hey ..I bet sooo many people have similar stories .. the emotions involved are real - it can be intense! I've enjoyed the contributions so far. The take away for me is that we are all human - we are not perfect, I was lucky in the end - no guarantee I will get away with it again.. so I better buckle down and concentrate when I bid! The posts I really enjoyed were the ones admitting mistakes. If you can't self criticize or laugh at yourself then what's left?? Who are you going to laugh at?? I make more dumb mistake than anyone I know! My $18 coin (when it arrives) has a snake - I have already planned to resurrect my favorite thread: TIF's Snake Cowboy!! It may not be worthy but at least I'll get to see some awesome coins and fun animation!!
One thing my stroke broke me of was allowing myself to get "flustered" during ANY auction, live or online. If something happens and I don't get a bid in, that's a win-win-win for everybody. Coins are like streetcars... If I get that upset, I'm likely going to be dead anyway. The only way I can stay alive is to stay cool or stay medicated. Those are the REAL rules I have to live by, not some made up garbage by some mod.
True enough and I hope you are doing well with your health!..- yes, coins are like Street Cars.. if you wait long enough another will come around!

This method 8s intended to protect against snipe program failure. The amounts can be different as can the time. You cannot outbid yourself on ebay. New bids simply increase your highest unreached bid.
