Yeah it is hammered ....Tom always had some nice coins in his inventory. I also purchased an 1876 cc dime from him...I have a very good memory of where my collection has come from. I sort of know what He does for a living which over the years has made him hit or miss shows as he is overseas alot. Sort a need to know occupation ill leave it at that...however I know that I do want to see what he may have in inventory that may interest me.....as hes got a good eye for quality....specimens. I have been very lucky to have quite a few good dealers here in Maryland as friends. I know Kanga over the last few years has been attending a few shows and also can speak for what Im saying. Heck when have you ever gone to a coin show, and been offered a hot bowl of Maryland crab soup to enjoy? For FREE...Yeah its free to enjoy and damn good too! The shows are small but all the dealers have nice inventories, keith our world coin dealer is never ending with some of the best selection of world coins. In fact this piece was purchased from him. That ended up in Rob's electric box collection . Which was an honor to me as this specimen was also hammered :) I cannot say enough about these guys ,all of them I consider a friend, and trust. And I know that they trust me as many times they ask "me" to watch over their table should they need to leave the room. And I am honored to have that trust. Ralph, Leroy, Mike, Miguel, Len, & Richard N ...btw the 1830 half dime above came from him! Bob,Carl, Lee,just to name a few of the dealers who set up. And I will tell you this all of them are fair ,and honest with the customers who attend.Ive never heard any ill spoken words about the show or the dealers . And I like to add this" I miss you guys".... its been many months since our last show, I hope all of you are doing well and healthy durring this mess!
