It seems that one of the numbers used to identify medals is the Hauser number. Does anybody have any info on where I can get a book/what medals he/she identified?

    Thanks

The only Hauser I know is a Peter Hauser (Austria) who has a huge collection of mostly Austrian medals, and also published a book about them. :) But I don't think that is "your" Hauser ...

Seems that Josef Hauser wrote a catalog, in 1905, that listed coins and medals from Munich: https://www.zvab.com/buch-suchen/titel/die-muenzen-und-medaillen/autor/hauser/ That could be the Hauser you are looking for.

Thanks @chrisild. I took a look and that seems like its probably the book. Unfortunately still a little out of my price range as far as numismatic literature goes :).
