I use to put them in a container and once in a while my wife would roll them up and take them to the bank. I was all cash all my life up till a few years ago sans large purchases. Now I just use my credit card and I'm actually more careful with my spending than before. My miscellaneous spending via credit card was a whopping $79 last month. And like -JeffB stated, I still pay tips in cash.

I actually prefer to use cash but sometimes it's too much of a hassle. I solely use my cc for gas (2x points) and business expenses, and most of the time I use debit for groceries and beer. Everything else (which isn't much) I try to use cash. Maybe I'm part of the dying breed, but I have always had the notion that cash is king.

Traveling the world, cash is king. Some countries it’s hard to use credit cards.
