If you have owned this coin as long as you say you have, and you got it when it was blast white (which it never was), then you cleaned it. This coin is ugly. It doesnt look right at all. Really? Are you interested in some ocean front property in Arizona?
I haven't read the thread so I don't know what everyone else is saying, but are you entirely sure that coin is genuine? Because something looks wrong about it.
The reverse of the coin I posted is a fake 1895 from China on ebay right now. It has the same denticle flaws as ops coin.
Yes, I have owned it those many years. Yes I watched it tone from a white to its toned current state. This coin was made in Philadelphia. Sorry to disappoint. Only reason I posted was thought for an AU details type Morgan, looked neat. Sorry to get you so worked up.
People in this thread need to go read up on fakes. OP included. I actively collect morgans I know a fake when I see one.
The only article I have read about big tree was from numismatic news from 2011. Presses were sold to private owners in the 1950s in china.
